Interview prep and why it's so important

I know that there's been more times then I can count, where I've walked out of interviews with so much anxiety because I completely bombed my interview. All these thoughts go through my head of what I could have said differently. Why did I tell them my hobby was going out for dinner and drinks with husband? They are totally going to think I'm an alcohol now.

Interview prep is a real thing and is super beneficial in landing your dream job. You need to sound confident in selling yourself. Practicing going over answers with someone will help by hearing what you actually sound like and get you used to answering on the spot.

Most of the time, recruiters will go through a script of basic questions they ask every candidate. They may just rearrange it to sound different from the last interview you did but it's still the same question whichever way you look at it. You can prepare your answers for these questions beforehand so you know exactly what to say and sound confident doing so.

Those new skills you just added to your resume, have you added those in to the answers you have scripted out? All these tips can help when you find yourself in those situations you weren't expecting like getting laid off or when you're wanting to leave your toxic boss. You can feel confident telling your boss to shove it because you already have your resume built and you're ready to take on those interviews!
